Targeted at a sporty lifestyle, it sports a 5MP camera with a LED flash. It&#8217;s water and dust resistant but still allows for changeable covers. Internally it&#8217;s based on an 1GHz Snapdragon processor and has a 3&#8243; capacitative touch screen which supports wet finger tracking as well.</p><p>There are also some specific UI add-ons to the Android OS like the four corner home screen to allow quick access to commonly used apps. Also it has supports for the ANT+ Bluetooth standard to be able to connect to various fitness devices and sensors.</p><p>Sony Ericsson Xperia™ active will be available globally in selected markets from Q3 2011. Justin got a chance to look at the new smartphone. The  Xperia ray is only 9.4mm thick, has a 3.3&#8243; screen (supported by the BRAVIA graphics engine), and runs the Android 2.3 &#8216;Gingerbread&#8217; OS. It also sports a 8.1MP camera, and runs on a 1GHz Processor.</p><p>The Xperia ray also has Facebook integrated into the various applications for quick access and sharing of photos and music from and to Facebook and a power saving mode which allows the battery to last longer..</p><p>Sony Ericsson Xperia™ ray will be available globally in selected markets, including Japan, from Q3 2011..
