SHEBaCoT.
See? It’s a nice name right? I tried to convince Daniel but he wouldn’t be. Find out why you shouldn’t dismiss the new Atom chip as only .06GHz faster. Also, the G Phone will be arriving exclusively on Singapore’s sunny-island-set-in-the-sea shores, thanks to not-so-Sink-tel’s clout. What though of the G1′s dependency on telco-pushed updates? But first, a promising fancy NAS from Linksys®byCisco, LG’s new Prada offering with its economically dubious accessory, and 6 versions of Windows 7 as compared to 7 versions for Windows Vista.
What a wonderful world.
- Daniel, DK, Farinelli, NTT and Willy

Yes, this week the crew takes a break from our usual gig (or geek, hurhur) at Geek Terminal (or Gig Terminal hurhur… ok I’ll stop) to attend Podcamp Singapore v2.0. Daniel, Farinelli, and DK speak to a wonderful crowd of near 30 (yes I counted can?) about some of the lessons we have learnt after having been in the business for close to two years now. Crank your speakers and perk your ears up for some of the fantastic insights coming from the other side of the mic, and learn along with us. Enjoy.

Posted by Renhao | 4 CommentsIn this week’s sum up of the eternal chess game between Microsoft and Apple, Microsoft is definitely overwhelmed with only the king, queen, two bishops, and a castle left, surrounded by just about the entire back row of Apple’s white pieces. Apple’s cornered the royal couple, but Microsoft turned the tables… well turned the stool around by moving the bishops smack in front, segregating the XP market from the Vista market. Fantastic move in delaying Apple’s deadly advances. In addition one of Apple’s pawns seem to have gone off his route, possibly dropping valuable hints on the successors of Apple’s queen. Both castles advancing at full speed ahead with confirmations of the iPhone in Asia in H2. Black-square knight is still negotiating with Singapore’s favorite Big Fat Green carrier, so the BFG says. White-square knight made a surprise hard right putting Apple’s eternal I into Singapore’s favorite kebaya-clad carrier (nobles only please).
To find out what the hell all of that meant, listen to this week’s episode of 65bits, brought to you by our enthusiastic listeners. Yup, including you.

Posted by Renhao | 2 CommentsThis week we have a special guest joining us, Nicole. She brings a feminine touch to an otherwise brutish and boorish show. We begin with a story of intrigue and mystery, something that even Hollywood could not imagine. A feisty little start up, Psystar is standing up to Apple, and SURPRISE it does exist and is actually shipping! We also talk about Samsung and their recently launched new phones, without leaving out the LURVE for our pals @ Nokia. As men we cannot help but be fascinated with speed and precision, and alas our wishes are granted with WD’s new Velociraptor Hard Drive.
Your Latin Lovers,
Julio, Francisco, Daniel, and Nicoletta.
Those of you out there who still’ve been unable to access our site, we encourage you to blog up! and Blog OUT! Your words, those keystrokes, will be put to great use, for it will honour us greatly! Onto more pressing issues. Those honourable ones who will listen to those words that’ve been prophesied, that there will be one who shall challenge the gods, the mighty Steveness, the God-King of all Techdom, he whose wrath has been that of legend and disaster. We also speak of a tiny laptop, which has had many improvements made upon it, by the blacksmiths and potters of ASUS, it has now a greater screen of which to show us more, Windows has been added to make it a temptation upon your money-sack and now we can be sure that you shall be able to be Rock Solid, Heart Touching. Our sponsors GadgetTrak, and Easysafe are also those who would protect from from the evils of stolen data, of lost privacy, they will keep you safe and allow you to remain protected in your time of crisis.

As our stay-away from Geek Terminal draws to a close (I think? Please?), Daniel, Jerrick and Farinelli convene at Starbucks Phillip St. for a short episode to discuss the accelerating demise of HD DVD, the birth of Windows 7 and the iPhone coming to Asia (Asia), as opposed to Asia (Japan). And in this week’s Byte of the Week (YES IT’S BACK), rejoice o ye social whores, the browser made for you is here. Flock – the Social Web Browser.
Then again you can’t be that much of a social whore if you don’t already know.
Posted by Renhao | 3 CommentsLong time listener and contributor Bernard Leong and his team over at SG Entrepreneurs have made public their decision to support Tech65 by promoting the latest episodes of 65bits, to bring the latest happenings and trends in technology to their readers. Tech65 would like to thank him and his team for their support, and promise to devote more airtime to technology instead of ever-deviating to cars, girls and Pokemon Pearl.
Nahhhhh kidding. You know we can’t help it.
No but still, thank you. Very much. Appreciate it.
Bless this Macworld, for we are unworthy of the bountiful fruits it may bring, You can almost smell it coming, and as San Francisco, the world, and the one and only Steve Jobs prepares for Macworld ’08, we prepare in our own small simple, occasionally convoluted, always funny, generally interesting way by throwing some iPredictions onto the iAltar of that which his Steveness will announce to those unMac-ed masses, those poor saps who are un-iPoded, un-iMaced and unReady for the deliciousness that is to come.
Are uReady? iAm.
