65Bits #162: Live at BarCamp Singapore 5

We are at BarCamp Singapore, recording live infront of a live audience. That sounds exciting. If only the tech news this week can be this exciting. This week, we discuss about Google’s new direction in China, HTC Evo which will not be making its way to Singapore and also the consolidated UK Government website for its citizen. And we discovered that Singapore has a site call eCitizen. Wow.

DK, Justin & Justin, Hisham and a wonderful group of live audience

Stories this week:

[1:20] Google turns off filter in China
[9:05] GoDaddy to stop registering domain names in China
[11:45] HTC EVO 4G
[16:25] Every citizen to have personal webpage
eCitizen

  • Would I be wrong to assume that if the Chinese government chooses not to renew Google’s licence, their next step would be to black list Google.com.hk in their firewall.
