First Look: Nokia N97 (HD Video)

It’s a first look at the Nokia N97! One of the most highly anticipated phones in Nokia’s line-up. DK and Hisham visit Nokia Singapore and brought back some HD video of this phone that’s going to be on sale in Singapore in June 2009 by all 3 carriers.

How was it? In DK’s words:

The phone has amazing hardware and specs, but the software is just a normal Series60.

Or something along those lines.

Hmmm… Like we said, it’s just a first look. If we spend more time with it, perhaps we’ll discover some of the changes in Series60 that could make it really powerful.

  1. hi

    quite a decent review
most of the review, u guys use the d-pad most of time
what abt the touch screen, responsive? fast?
    is kinetics scrolling supported?

  2. i mean in this review

  3. Taz: The touchscreen’s responsiveness is normal.
Reason why my hands spend most of the time on the d-pad instead of the touchscreen is because my thumbs are lazy to travel so far up when it can be done with the d-pad. I think most N97 would do that too. :)

But of cause the touchscreen is good when the Qwerty keyboard is hidden.

  4. How strong is the hinges? been reading some reviews bout how it will broke given time, that has be worried because i have a E90 and less than a year the hinges broke.
