However reports are out that FF3's js renderer is faster than v8. Personally it's not the speed alone that matters; v8's claim to fame is that js is dynamically abstracted out of the html while parsing, and handled independently. If it can be handled independently it can also be optimized. The day is close where javascript frameworks become as prevalent as php backends. Yeap Chrome is a fast beast.
